Kaohsiung, located in the southwest part of Taiwan is the islands second city with a population of about 1.5 million.
Kaohsiung's has moved on from its predominately industrial past and has a surprising number of things to do and see for tourists as well as the business travelers and engineers that visit Kaohsiung each year..
Kaohsiung's climate is hot in the summer months but from October to March the weather can be quite perfect with few cold days and little rain.
